THANK YOU! Your generosity funds Wellness Grants for live-in dementia caregivers, helping cover costs for counseling and respite care to reduce burnout.
In 2024, 11.475 million caregivers in the U.S. provided 18.4 billion unpaid hours of Alzheimer’s and dementia care, valued at $346.6 billion.
Live-in dementia caregivers dedicate their hearts, time, and energy to caring for their loved ones, yet many face overwhelming challenges. Unable to qualify for government caregiver programs, many struggle with out-of-pocket respite care and counseling costs. Those caring for individuals with young-onset dementia face even greater strain, as most resources are designed for older adults. No one should feel alone in this journey. We are here to close the financial gap, offering the support they need to persevere, find relief, and create cherished memories together at home.
Private nursing home room costs about $127,750 annually.
Assisted living costs about $54,000 annually.
Caregivers are the heart of dementia care, giving their all to support their loved ones—but the emotional and physical toll can be exhausting. Without relief, burnout sets in, making it harder to keep going. Counseling and respite care offer a lifeline, providing the support they need to recharge, feel seen, and continue their vital role with strength and compassion.
Counseling can help reduce anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation, which are common among dementia caregivers.
82% of caregivers report high stress from their duties. Additionally, 40-70% experience significant symptoms of depression—2 to 3 times more than non-caregivers.
Respite care can significantly influence how long a dementia caregiver is able to keep their loved one at home.
Chronic stress can harm the immune system, disrupt sleep, and trigger anxiety and depression. Respite care gives caregivers the time to prioritize their well-being, leading to better overall health.
Awareness campaigns inspire action from communities and policymakers, paving the way for improved caregiver benefits.
By educating the public, these campaigns encourage local involvement, fostering stronger support networks through volunteer programs, financial assistance, and advocacy initiatives.
Through the generosity of donors and corporate sponsors, our Wellness Grants offer financial support to live-in dementia caregivers who are ineligible for government caregiver programs. Our Knowledge & Hope Library equips all caregivers with essential knowledge and practical skills, while our Advocacy & Awareness efforts amplify their voices and promote better workplace time-off policies and increased caregiver benefits.
We provide financial assistance to live-in dementia caregivers who do not qualify for government caregiver programs, helping cover counseling and respite care costs so they can rest, recharge, and continue offering compassionate care at home. [Funded primarily through donors and corporate sponsors.]
Our Knowledge & Hope Library offers guides and articles covering communication, stress management, legal and financial planning, and dementia care best practices—empowering all caregivers with confidence and support.
We amplify caregivers’ voices, promoting policies like better workplace time-off and increased caregiver benefits, so they can balance work, life, and caregiving without feeling overwhelmed.
With your generosity, families can stay together longer, communities grow stronger, and caregivers receive the relief they deserve. Every contribution fuels hope, compassion, and change—because we Love Thy Neighbor when we support caregivers.
